My office pal, Val, got married last Saturday -- sa Nueva Ecija lang naman! Since it’s such a long trip I looked up what other things we can do, pass or eat while we were in the area… well Mr. Google came back with a dramatic ‘nada.’ After trying different keywords and combo, the results just came back with short blogs about family trips, relatives, the visit to the dam, and bus stops. Trip advisor and other travel blog sites also came back with very little to none. I then resigned to the idea that it’s merely a ‘stop-over’ for those going to Baguio or Baler, so being such a nice friend that I am, I sent Val a very encouraging text and told him “gandahan mo yang kasal mo at yan na yung “adventure” at tourist spot namin, haha!” I sent this the night before his wedding, PRESUUuuRRE!!!
Sure enough when we got to there, the entourage dresses and the reception styling stayed true to the theme. Though I know for a fact that these pictures will not give justice to the stunning wedding we’ve witnessed, please go ahead and view them, just add 10x more to the wow factor!
The church was exquisite, very unique and fits the rice field and clear skies backdrop perfectly.
The Bride wore a very elegant, beaded gown. It already looked great when I saw her at the hotel about to leave for church, but it was such a great sight when she walked down the aisle with the beads reflecting the afternoon sunrays. It’s like she’s covered with diamonds.
The wedding ceremony was light, filled with laughter and personal touches courtesy of the presiding priest Fr Edwin Bravo. He even sang for the couple before finally wrapping up the church celebration
The reception was held in the Sierra Madre Hotel, where the cocktails and dinner were catered by Joey’s restaurant. The set-up was absolutely beautiful. Very elegant and classy, just how we imagined a 1920’s themed wedding should be. The table centerpieces were tall and had feather accents. The color theme of green and purple was a very stylish combination, and the simple menu cards were a great touch.
