Cheap thrills

It doesn’t take a lot for us to be excited about the weekend. Some burgers and a movie and we are all set!

It didn’t hurt that Brother’s Burger celebrated their 13th year and offered a 50% discount on their trademark burger! It’s a ½ lb flame grilled patty with lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise and catsup in a toasted oatmeal bun all for the mouth watering price of 105 pesos!

crowd starting to build up

patiently waiting for their burgers

With the big discount we got, there’s more budget that can be used for specialized drinks, yey! So we headed over to the far side of High Street and tried some of the very popular Jamba Juice!

I tried the Aloha Pineapple and LJ got the Razzmatazz.

my nail art matches the cup! =p

We sat along the amphitheater to eat our meal ‘al fresco.’ Good thing it wasn’t too humid and there was no sign of rain.

There were kids playing and running around, even adults!

The kids entertained us for a good hour, you see the fountain area is open, so they can play with the water.

So they can just simply be amused at the water spurting from the ground. They usually move in to look closely...

Suddenly it changes its pattern and surges higher!

The kids are now wet, so what do you do? You enjoy it!

Good thing the parents are prepared, and most had change of clothes for the kids with them.

We headed back to Market! Market! to catch a movie.

Hungry us, still wanted to snack, so we got ourselves some Potdog favorites of Crab eggs and Potato wedges.

A movie at an Ayala mall is not complete without Tater’s popcorn!

in Texas BBQ flavor

And lastly, LJ’s visit to this floor includes the usual order of his fave sliders from Slammer Burgers.

LJ’s movie pick was Lockout and as always, I had no idea about the plot. Didn’t even know that it’s dark, grrr! His left arm is probably bruised as I kept on hitting him whenever there are gunshots and explosions. Needless to say I was very affected by what I was watching. Hello! Ang dami patay, huhu! The movie is not the best in terms of plot, but it’s enough to entertain.

We ended the night with some of Jabee’s classic meals. Tamad kase mag-lakad papunta High Street, hehe!

It was quite an evening, with no strict plans or fancy dinners. Just the way we like it! ",)
