Flower boquets will always be a
classic, but if you are feeling rebelliously healthy then why not try fruit
arrangements! No, we are not
just talking about the regular fruit baskets, we are referring to sliced
fruits arranged to perfection by FruiQuet (froo-kei).
“FruiQuet™,
short for “fruit bouquet,” is a concept borne out of a passion to
offer Filipinos here, and even those abroad, a unique alternative to
the usual gifts sent to loved ones or given to close family members
and friends.” - FruiQuet.com
We
noticed their store while walking around the Eastwood Mall, and our
friends joked that since we'll have an alternative wedding
cake, might as well consider this as an alternative bouquet for my
entourage. I gave the pictures a closer look and they actually looked
interesting so I went inside to learn more.
They had a lot of gifts and arrangements available with dipped strawberries starting at Php 390. They can also customize for you, depending on your fruit preference, and budget. Cool!
Downside for me though is, since these are fresh fruits, I don't think it will stay as pretty if exposed for too long and I wouldn't recommend for them to be used as entourage flowers. They, however, can be perfect gifts for the Ninongs and Ninangs when we visit them. So rather than bringing in a traditional cake for the “meet and greet” we can give them some “Sunny Tropics” or a “Cup of Hearts.”
This can also be a good addition to the reception's dessert station. They have the 'Garden of Bliss' (Php 3,100) which has a huge selection of fruits like pineapple, melons and cantaloupe sliced into fun shapes and skewered, making it very easy for the guests to eat and enjoy.
Should you wish to give a FruiQuet as a gift, you can request to add a personalized message card (Php 80) – just tell them what you want to say, include a photo if you wish, and they will take care of the lay-out. They can also put in a bottle of wine for as low as Php 390, foil balloons for as low as Php 100, even teddy bears at Php 350 each!
All the choices can be overwhelming,
and it may intimidate you at first, but what's good about FruiQuet is their
excellent customer handling. The sales associate at the store was all
smiles showing me the photos of their work and explaining their
concept and handling. It is indeed a great alternative to flowers,
definitely something worth trying.

Interesting choice. Especially if the person you're giving it to is into healthy living. :)
