We recently tried the Cue Modern BBQ located along Bonifacio High Street.
The place was well decorated, with interesting accents. My eyes couldn't stop admiring the details, from the ceiling to the walls, and the simple table decor.
We loved the BBQ flavored popcorn that they served as an appetizer.
We ordered the Bone Marrow and Steak tacos (Php485), their House Burger (Php395) and the 'Cue' Burger (Php420).
All were good choices; the tacos were tantalizing and the burgers were thick and juicy; all of our orders definitely put a different spin on what you'd expect from that kind of food. Even LJ, who doesn't like sweet potatoes, enjoyed his fries thoroughly and didn't realize he was eating sweet potatoes until we pointed it out to him.
The serving sizes were also quite generous which is a plus for people like us who like to share their food with the rest of the table.
Now for one thing we didn't like... We ate around 1pm, so there weren't a lot of people. However, service was still slow and the waiters were not attentive. We had to ask a couple of times to get our glasses refilled and it seemed that they were actively avoiding making eye contact by looking at the floor while walking or keeping busy folding napkins.
I understand that there are other tasks that needed to be done but did all of them have to be involved AND have their backs turned?
When we got the check, I had to wait for 15 minutes and reminded them that we were waiting for the card. Apparently, the guy in charge of the cashier didn't know that we were already paying.
We're glad we got to try the food and while we'd like try the other items in their menu, we'll probably take our time in coming back, just as the waiters did.
Have you tried to eat here? the food is great, yah? I just hope you got better service than we did ",)
