Pins and Darts

We are definitely not a 'sporty' couple, but every once in a while there is that opportunity to show that we can be, or on bad day, remind us that we should just stay away from it, haha! Last Saturday was one of those chances.

Spiderman was such a blockbuster hit amongst Pinoys that the earliest decent seats we could reserve was for 11pm. The rest of the gang stared at us when we announced that we have a good 5 hours to loiter! So what can you do with such a long wait time? We were in Eastwood after all.

Buffet dinner? Not really that hungry

Shopping? Not practical

We wanted to burn the hours but not the cash so we landed at Paeng's Bowl and Billiards Room for some fun indoor games – Bowling and Darts! We played a round of Bowling and an hour of Darts and we only spent – Php 225/each!

This fun and modern activity center is my new happy place. Not only can you play bowling, darts, and billiards you can also order some food from their Snack Bar and munch the hours away.

As evidenced by my last bowling game, I have no skill in bowling. I am sure my parents will be horrified with this news as they are both great bowlers who, along with my uncles and aunts, have won numerous trophies and medals. Even my brother turned out to be a natural bowler! So, without further adieu, I share with you my scoreboard of shame...   

However, to make up for this disappointing news, my dear family, do not worry... LJ is great in bowling! Thus will be the hope that the bowling “gene” can still be passed on to our future children, hoooraaaaay!

Despite the little set back that I am, *ahem*, a horrible bowler. We discovered that I can play darts ...and on top of that, can actually win! I won three times in a row, with no proven technique except for throwing those darts hard. Love this game!

We enjoyed playing using the electronic dart board, rate per hour was Php 220 good for 4 players. It automatically computes for your score -– no need to spend time doing the math, and there are also no scary sharp steel dart points here as they use soft firm tips.

This was a great impromptu visit, aside from the modern equipment, customer service was impeccable. We never felt lost or neglected despite the fact that there are tons of people using their facilities. Someone was always there to help with a technical problems with the pins or answer our makulit and ignorant questions about the high-tech dart board.
