Into the Blue

My officemates spent our Saturday afternoon at Blue Water Day Spa – Ortigas (Greenhills). It was hours spent on relaxation and was just perfect.

As soon as we came in, they offered us some cold drinks.

Sari, their Spa Manager, entertained us right away and we were each asked about our preferred treatment. What type of massage we want and how much pressure we fancy.
All of us went for the Absolute Relaxation Package, which came with an Athlete’s Massage and Foot Reflexology.  I opted to trade the Combo Herbal Massage instead of the AM. You can do this, but the price will still be the same.

Here are the descriptions according to their website

Athlete’s Massage

Pamper your body after a strenuous physical activity with this invigorating BlueWater Day Spa therapeutic massage especially designed for athletes. It comes with a 10-minute application of hot moist packs which help heal muscle pain and improve mobility, followed by a massage applied with a mentholated oil that focuses on joint and muscle pains, and spasms.

Combo Herbal Massage

Take a break from the city life and indulge in a total relaxation with this BlueWater Day Spa massage using a combination of Swedish and Shiatsu techniques. Made more potent with steamed herbal packs from Thailand, the treatment offers relief from stress, headaches and aching muscles, purifies the skin and reduces lung congestion.

We were led to the locker room to change. In here they have the Shower areas and Sauna room as well. They provided shorts and robes and then we giddy girls walked to the Massage Area.

We were satisfied with the massage. The therapist always asks if the pressure and the strokes are comfortable, and if we can still tolerate the warm hot packs.
After we got our full body rubdown we were led to the Spa Theater for our Foot Reflexology.

This is their promise, as posted on their website.

Foot Reflexology

Following traditional Chinese reflexology, this therapeutic BlueWater Day Spa massage targets the feet’s pressure points connected to the body’s major organs. Gliding technique is applied on the feet for better soothing, with a hot towel massage for the lower legs and thighs.

We were again treated to another round of drinks while browsing for what movie to watch. They have a lot of fairly new options that you can choose from. It’s a good thing we got the first dibs on the movie choice! We settled for Bridesmaids, which was a good comedy. A nice way to distract us while they push on our pressure points, a good tawa-iyak series. Your mind will go ouch! Ooh that’s good.. aray!

It was such a fun and relaxing afternoon. There wasn’t a crowd when we came in so it felt like we had the whole area to ourselves. They did mention that there are some days that it gets pretty full, so it’s always best to call ahead and make a reservation.

If you do want to have a Spa Party, they have prepared some reasonable packages that you can try
